I've been living here for four years long. I got a lot of laugh when I saw the KARASU's photo. It was there yesterday as well. I could take a closeup photo of it. And guess ... it rained when we were about to eat our Obentô.

Hi Anon,

I can't remember exactly how long it took to climb down Mt. Misen. I don't think it took more than 1 hour-most likely a lot less. My legs were pretty shaky afterwards though as the course consists mostly of steps.

If your Mum is alright climbing down say 30 flights of stairs or so she should be alright.

Might be more fun to do what Kat's friends did and walk out to the 'torii' if it's low tide.

You are a gifted photographer and some of your photographs are almost startling to me. I was in Japan in 1953 - 1956 and things were just being rebuilt after the war. So even trees were hard to find in the cities.

Dare me....haha! Well maybe not all of them but I'd like a good selection for my husband to take to work. But first...I need to find that Duff beer as it isn't entirely donut day without tribute to Homer Simpson. I know they sell Duff here but the shelves are always emptied out when I get there.
